The 2009 Southern California Nordic Tug Rendezvous will be held on the beautiful island of Catalina. Two Harbors, Isthmus from Thursday September 17th to Sunday September 20th 2009. Plan on arriving early (the 17th, or the day of the events, the 19th).

There will be a host happy hour sunset cruise on the Garibaldi Friday night September 18th for a meet and greet.

Activities on Friday, September 18th:

Two Harbors/Catalina Historial Walking Tour with Hilary

Hppy hour sunset cruise aboard the Garibaldi while sampling boat-made hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Everyone who wants to participate in the hors d'oeuvres contest must make hors d'oeuvres on their boat and bring it to the sunset cruise for judging. There will be prizes for the winner!

Activities on Saturday, September 19th:

• Dinghy raft up
• Scavanger hunt
• Horse shoes
• Visit the other boats and vote on who has the coolest upgrade or innovation on their boat
• We will have a special guest for a presentation and/or Q&A before dinner
• Dinner will be catered on the beach, the menu goes along with our theme for the weekend, refreshments will be provided by Steve and Debi Rock, Fiddler's Green Restaurant, San Diego, California
• We have the t-shirts, so sizes should NOT be an issue this year!
• Door prizes and lots of freebies will be given away again this year! And of course we will have a trivia contest.
• Additional prizes:
  • Driscoll Boat Works, Shelter Island - FREE HAUL OUT!
  • South Coast Shipyard, Newport Beach - FREE HAUL OUT!
  • Sea Tow!

Door prizes will be provided by Nordic Tugs, West Marine, Ballena Bay Yachts, Punka Pacific, Driscoll Boat Works, Shelter Island, South Coast Shipyard, Newport Beach, and Sea Tow.

Cost is $80.00 per person. Price includes Host Happy Hour Sunset Cruise Friday Night, Beach BBQ Drinks and Dinner Saturday Night, Norduc Tug Vous' T-Shirt, Welcome/Goodie Bag, Door Prizes, and Discounts on Activities. We have the t-shirts already (ordered them early so we have the correct sizes for people).
