The 2008 Southern California Nordic Tug Rendezvous was held on the beautiful island of Catalina. Two Harbors, Isthmus was where 23 Nordic Tugs met to share stories, tour other Nordic Tugs, have great food and drink with old friends.

Door prizes were be provided by Nordic Tugs, West Marine, Ballena Bay Yachts, and Punka Pacific.

Quite a few boats showed up on Thursday, September 18th. More arrived on Friday, September 19th. We had an impromptu gathering to receive the gift bags and boat mats (boat mats were provided by Ballena Bay Yacht Brokers). Red and white wine was provided by Steve and Debi Rock, owners of Fiddler's Green restaurant in Sand Diego California.

Saturday, September 20th events:

We had a scavenger hunt in the afternoon. Linda and Suzanne, from Buoy Toy made it back to the starting point first with the goods. They received first pick of the door prizes that evening. Steve, Sandy, and Spencer Nye of Sojourn, came in a close second. Peter Bohr and Duffy King were third by a few minutes.
Host Happy Hour was at 5:00 p.m. with dinner catered on the beach at 6:00 p.m. The menu was “Island Luau Buffet,” refreshments were provided by Steve and Debi Rock, Fiddler’s Green Restaurant, San Diego, California. Everyone raved about the food, and we all agreed that it was worth the price.
Lots of door prizes and lots of freebies were provided by Nordic Tugs, West Marine, Ballena Bay Yacht Brokers, and PunkaPacific.com. Everyone went home a winner.
After dinner we had a "Nautical Trivia Contest." ...won a fantastic weather coat donated by West Marine.
